    Partnership Activation Manager

    Summary

    The Partnership Activation Manager will oversee the development of the partner activation strategy for the Columbus Blue Jackets and Nationwide Arena.

    Responsibilities include:

    • Develop customized activation campaigns for team marketing partners which utilize trademarks, players and other assets to accomplishing the following items
    • Accomplish other defined partner objectives
    • Identify and create opportunities for the Blue Jackets and marketing partners to develop co-op marketing and sales programs which drive ticket sales
    • Work with the sponsorship sales staff to formulate and present sponsorship proposals featuring activation components and budget allowance
    • Foster cross-promotional initiatives between Blue Jackets Marketing Partners
    • Serve as an extension of the partner’s marketing department when needed to assist in the execution of Blue Jackets activation programs
    • Work with Director and Managers of Partnership Marketing to execute partner promotional programs
    • Build positive relationships with key contacts marketing partners
    • Develop and manage department budget

    Qualifications and Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in marketing, business or similar area of study
    • Understanding of ticket sales strategy and processes
    • Excellent customer service skills
    • Persistent and professional follow up on projects
    • Ability to plan marketing initiatives and projects in 12-16 months in advance
    • Creative vision to develop unique promotional initiatives which accomplish objectives

    Position Summary:
    The manager of corporate partnership sales is responsible for generating corporate sales revenue through appointments and strong networking skills. This position will integrate tickets, signage, and activations through corporate marketing, promotions, digital advertising, hospitality, community programs and any other marketing resources in developing of these corporate marketing relationships.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
    * Ability to set qualified appointments on a weekly basis
    * Identifying corporate partnership leads
    * Lead generation for prospecting
    * Ability to generate new and creative sponsorship ideas
    * Creation and development of comprehensive proposals
    * Help develop long-term renewal strategy
    * Responsible for weekly sales reports in a timely and accurate reporting structure
    * Works closely with all staff members in relationship to corporate sales
    * Achieve assigned sales goals
    * Ability to close deals

    Successful candidate must be:

    Manager- Corporate Partnership Activation

    The Corporate Partnership Activation Manager is responsible for the successful and timely implementation of contractual elements pertaining to Honda Center and Anaheim Ducks corporate partners.  This position is responsible for managing the execution of sponsorship inventory including, non-hockey signage, event specific signage, season and event tickets, in-arena and regional promotions, social media promotion, community relation programs, entertainment video features, travel, product placement, and hospitality events.  This position is also responsible for recapping partnerships, calculating overall value of partnerships, and reporting results.  This position reports to the Director of Corporate Partnership Activation.  The Anaheim Ducks offers a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.      Examples of Duties/Essential Functions: 

    • Manage assigned corporate partnership accounts on a day to day basis
    • Develop strategic programs with corporate partners to help them achieve their goals and objectives
    • Work closely with internal departments to successfully create specialized marketplace, in-arena and social media promotions to further enhance partner packages
    • Manage department hospitality events (VIP partner lounge, partner summit and prospect events)
    • Maintain and update partner elements in CRM system including tickets logs, production timelines and hard costs, artwork deadlines to track to the status of element execution and document completion of task
    • Facilitate activation meeting, midseason meeting and end of season meetings with partners
    • Produce “Partner Wrap-Up” books that include a detailed recap of all partner activities including documentation of signage, radio, and or television spots, promotional activities and results, VIP parties, tickets, program ads, and any and all partnership elements
    • Event/Game/Blue Line Lounge coverage as assigned
    • Special projects as assigned

    Qualification Standards:

    • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
    • Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience working with corporate partners/sponsors as well as at least 1 year supervisory experience
    • Ability to handle multiple projects at one time, detail oriented, and work well under pressure
    • Superior customer service focus
    • Working knowledge of basic PC applications (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint Outlook, etc.)
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills
    • Ability to work a flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays when required.

    Major League Soccer - Club Services Manager

    Position Summary:

    • The primary responsibility of an MLS Club Services Account Manager is to assist assigned clubs to optimize business operations in all areas of club business with emphasis on club marketing and ticket sales.
    • Account Manager will be responsible for working with 6-7 clubs.
    • Account Managers are supported by other League Office stakeholders (e.g. Soccer, Commercial, International, and League Marketing).

    Key responsibilities:

    • Point person within League Office for assigned clubs.
    • Primary stakeholder within League Office to provide analysis to Executive Committee on all key areas of assigned clubs' marketing and ticket sales.
    • Primary stakeholder to assist or identify services to support assigned clubs for improvements associated with marketing and ticket sales functions including:
      • Development of marketing and ticket sales plans, strategies and sales operations.
      • Development, sharing and maintaining a resource library of marketing and ticket sales best practices for our clubs.
      • Lead or assist with execution of (and participation in) League meetings and workshops, conferences calls and mass communications.
      • Responsible for orchestrating additional League Office support for club business operations among assigned clubs.
      • Assume role of stakeholder or assist in any department initiatives as requested by department head (e.g. Match Day evaluation, National Sales Center).
      • Special projects as assigned by department head.

    Reporting Responsibility:

    • Department head.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • 6-10 years of team business experience in senior level roles, preferably in marketing and/or sales.
